Radiohead encouraged fans to remix the track by releasing the individual stems and hosting a competition for best remix on their website. Entries came in from established names such as Flying Lotus and James Holden.

- Reckoner was the working title for In Rainbows.
- The original name of this song was 'Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses' and was first performed as early as 2001.
- "It was when we recorded 'Reckoner' that we felt we'd first got something special on tape." - Jonny Greenwood in Mojo Magazine (January 2008).
