Details
- 'Les Yper-Sound' means 'the hyper sound' as yper is how the word is pronounced in French. The actual term "hyper" is the same in both English and French, which represents Stereolab as a collective of musicians from the two aforementioned countries. The song is about the end of a relationship and features straight-forward lyrics about a couple dividing into two individual people "divide everything".
- The album Emperor Tomato Ketchup takes its name from a Japanese art film from 1970.
