Details
  • Pierce the Veil is a Mexican-American band that was formed in 2006 by Vic Fuentes and his brother Mike Fuentes. When the band originally formed their members were Vic Fuentes, Mike Fuentes, Tony Perry and Jaime Preciado. Before forming Pierce the Veil, Tony and Jaime were in a hard metal band called 'Trigger My Nightmare' while the Fuentes brothers were in the emo group 'Before Today'.

After a break they began work on their second album 'Selfish Machines'. Vic Fuentes described the album as exploring the idea that humans are inherently selfish creatures.

  • 'She Makes Dirty Words Sound Pretty' captures emotions in an indescribable manner, exuding a sense of yearning. The poignant lyric "Don't tell me that I'm ordinary. Cause I won't be passing you, please don't leave," portrays a narrative of a guy loving a girl but understanding he might not be the right fit for her.
  • The song is featured as a bonus track on the iTunes version of the album. It isn't on the album's standard tracklist and isn't available on Spotify.
  • The song features Jonny Craig on vocals who is a well-known singer in post-hardcore thanks to his stints with Emarosa and Dance Gavin Dance.
