- 'Disco//Very' is "discovery" split into two words. When the reader realises this they make a discovery all of their own.
- On 'Disco//Very' all of the girls except the drummer take turns singing. It's quite confrontational, has a bratty, punk energy and is almost done in the style of a battle rap "don't you battle, we'll kill you, rip you up and tear you in two". The track stands out from the rest of the album as it's quite raw and primal while the other songs are mellow and lush. It has a girls on the town vibe, the whole gang is here, they've got teeth and claws and they're determined to have a good time.
While Warpaint were recording a woman phoned the police to complain that the sheer din was making her want to vomit. The police were dispatched and promptly arrived. The band should've ignored the officers and played louder until the woman got out an air guitar and the police started hitting the cymbals with their foreheads. If the band had played even louder maybe the woman would have actually vomited! That's a win. It would have made for a better than average music video at the very least.
Of course, such behaviour is ill advised, but you only live once. Imagine if Ozzy Osbourne went on stage and 'nearly' bit the head off a bat? It wouldn't be the same would it? Remember kids, the bruises heal but the legend lives on.
